The midi is 4 gallon, its a much quieter than my old ridgid 16 gallon, and whats also nice you can turn the suction down to make it even quieter if you were so inclined.

I had a old timer plumber who specializes in steam heat (IE lots of iron pipe fittings) do a bunch of work in my house last winter. He used tape and dope on every fitting.

Only real reason was to fit the larger high output batteries I've invested in. But the pack out vac is much quieter, the gen 1 had quite a shriek.

it really is an amazing service if you're handy enough to be able to design the parts. I designed a 2x48 belt sander frame and had them cut it for me. Came out perfect and allowed me to make a tool I otherwise would never have had the capability to.
