I have the answer for your showerhead problem , I found your post after googling delta shower problems sharkbite fittings. I'm not a licenced plumber however I am a Red Seal journeyman Diesel mechanic. I had the same problem as you Delta, Plumbers or Home Depot did'nt have an answer to this...
