They told me that the urethane is what is temperature sensitive. Yes, grind, primer then metallic coat then urethane. I was recommended to go with a satin finish.

@Antoddio - I am doing a light metallic (Caribbean) with a urethane top coat. Roughly $5/sq ft for 2000 sq ft. That includes grinding.

Prosoco slx was $700 for 5 gallons. Covers 2500 sq ft.

I applied prosoco slx 100 after power washing my garage floor. Works great, water beads up and never soaks in. Does not change the look at all. Apply with garden sprayer.
