Bought a makita cordless orbital polisher kit with dead battery

Ok I’ll add some details. Yes bought from authorized local dealer. I charged it up and it’s apparently at a full charge. I plan to use the polisher in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully the battery will last like my older versions.

Bought a makita cordless orbital polisher kit with dead battery

Hello guys. I just bought a cordless makita orbital polisher kit with charger and 5ah battery. I opened the box and the battery was stone dead. It wouldn’t even light up the charge indicator on the battery. I called makita Canada today and he told me it’s normal for a lithium ion battery to be...

Need help on wether this Gardner Denver compressor is worth buying

I'm not sure what gauge wire my friend ran for my 230, but I know it's on a 20amp breaker if I was to under drive this compressor with a 3hp, do you think it would be a slug to refill? I looked at that Quincy. I think it needs work. He wants $150, but I still need a newer tank.

Need help on wether this Gardner Denver compressor is worth buying

My electrician is a friend. I asked if I could run it on the 230 20amp he wired for me not long ago for my current compressor. I think my best option if I could get it for a good price, is to look for a 5hp single phase

Need help on wether this Gardner Denver compressor is worth buying

The old compressor was a simpson sears with a compressor head that i can't remember the name of. It was blowing oil into the tank so i junked it primarily because it was only designed for 4cfm. I have a Cambell Head on it now with a baldor 2hp motor, pumping about 8-9cmf. The oil in the tank...

Need help on wether this Gardner Denver compressor is worth buying

Hello again guys. I need your expert opinions on this compressor I'm looking at. All I know is it's a Gardner Denver tough breed. I think its a 2 stage. I'm replacing my old 1956 compressor due to my wife worrying about me hurting myself from a rupture. I run air tools and might try painting in...

    Need help- compressor pulley wobble

I just acquired a speedaire 2Z499b compressor head from a friend. I installed it on an older tank that the compressor head was worn out. I got this speedaire pump for the cost of dinner and beer. I bought new pulleys for it because it didn't have any on it. I had to go to a cast iron sheave type...

    Vintage Air Compressors

Thanks Mac. It seems I'm going to have a hard time getting parts for this thing. I could run it and add oil now and again, but I don't want to have compressor oil going into my air tools. I'll keep looking. Thanks for your help.

    Vintage Air Compressors

I just acquired this old compressor. The tank is a 1956 40 gallon. The model plate says Sears C-102. The pump has a plate with 055 on it. I'd like to know what the pump is. I've read Devilbiss made the pumps for Sears compressors. It runs fine but I found about 400ml of oil in the tank when I...
