    $4,000,000 bachelor pad. Yeah, it's a thing.

I suddenly want a 15ft rotating bed in my garage...

How can you do this to your car

I have done the same - put on gloves and put the trash back when done in some cases. Seen the hairy Evaps before, too...you have the right idea. Put the gloves on and clean yourself up when done. Some of you must really have it well, being able to dismiss jobs at will, because the vehicle is...

Starting to rebuild my new shop.

Is/was that a pit for working under vehicles? I couldn't tell it's orientation.

    garage base moulding

You could start with 1x4 pine, and cut it/plane it to desired size, if the ledge is wide enough. Then paint it .

help me find the right epoxy repair for this kind of plastic

There is a product known as Channel Grip that I have used to bond various auto related plastic pieces. It is basically a two part epoxy that mixes itself in an applicator tube as you squeeze it out. I have had good, long lasting results with it.

How expensive to build tunnel/enclosed breezeway from main house to detached garage?

Fifty feet is a long way to connect, doable, but probably pretty pricey. You're probably better off seeking ideas from local contractors; it's hard to give an Internet estimate. Maybe some guys on here can get you a ballpark figure, but local building codes are surely going to have an effect on...

Techs: How to Get a Better Wheel Balance?

The average person isn't going to know if the machine was calibrated that day or not, sure you could ask...none of that matters if the person doing it lacks in training or attitude. Equally important to making sure the machine was just calibrated - make sure the person doing the job balances the...

The dump next door is finally mine

I'm guessing you must be near Carbondale? I used to live in Anna. I loved that area, and it was nice that the smaller town government bodies did not meddle with people too much.

Remove ugly garage door motor and rails

Couldn't you just hide the rails and such with smoke and mirrors? Anyways, I wholeheartedly agree with raising the rails to the ceiling and installing the motor to the side, and painting the rails and inside door to match the inside of the garage. As you justified, the home value would not be...

    Mechanic needing advice

I would agree with the comment about getting more sleep, that would help; but I was that age and used to stay up all night as well. You're quite young and early to this trade, so you probably have not yet developed your own pattern of doing certain jobs yet. The above advice is good about...

    BendPak RJ45 One or Two?

I don't have a four post lift at home, but used one extensively at work for a while; and in no way, would have been happy with just one jack. Two is the way to go...

What sockets do other techs keep in the tool cart?

I have the larger, Cornwell cart and have it loaded to the point I can roll it to anywhere in the shop and have about 95% of the tools I would need throughout the day.

    intersting craftsman tool box

kinda reminds me of my first wife...short, a bit wide, and maybe not too attractive, but I didn't mind putting a tool in it.

Snap On 1/2 drive impact air wrench

Selling one of my extras - It's a Snap-On, XT7100, has been factory - repaired, and has been sitting in my tool box, unused since the day I got it back (2010). I have two of these guns, and have not had to use this one. The factory repair tag is still on it. I want to get $150. for it, and that...
