Got the rest of the framing in
Went slightly bigger, old window was 18x36 new is 24x36. Unfortunately no in progress shots as I was fighting caulking and "sliding" the steel back into position.
I've got a couple more screws to put in but calling this done,

Bought an economical window from Duo-Corp via Amazon, mostly because it had integrated J-Channel first one arrived with the nailing flange broken

Well, I'm into it now, pulled the steel - surprisingly tough with 50+ yr old nails
found the wood around the old window to be in really poor shape and not well secured
Is there a certain type of window that I should be using for replacement? How do I make sure it's not going to leak? Windows are not something I've ever dealt with

Rally was always fun (LSPR) went both as spectators and as marshals with some buddies. We also ventured down to the Sno*Drift rally in Atlanta (MI)
Just as an FYI, these do exist in several makes and tooth counts, can search "stubby 90 tooth ratchet" on amazon.
