Looking for a compact cordless screwdriver (pistol grip style) for automotive interior work

I am a big Milwaukee fan but I bought a DeWalt https://www.dewalt.ca/product/dcf680n1/8v-max-gyroscopic-screwdriver-1-battery-kit. It's over 10 years old and I'm sure I use it more often that most home users. It's for rebuilding robotic teach pendants. I've done thousands and there are at least...

Why are Snap-On toolboxes so expensive?

This is a case of 30% better is 130% more to buy. We have Rousseau cabinets at work. I had no idea until today, they made toolboxes. Every time I slide open a cabinet at work. I can't believe how well they slide open with a pile of weight inside. If their toolboxes are anything like their...

    Gravel vs asphalt driveway

I'm in southern Ontario. We have freezing temps in the winter and snow. There is another driveway to shovel but I can just ignore the snow on the west side for a couple years. My truck will not get stuck with a few inches of snow and it usually melts in a few days. The dirt under the house is a...

    Gravel vs asphalt driveway

I have a small driveway on the east side of my house. It's over 10 years old. On the west side, I want to make another driveway on virgin soil. Excavation of grass and dirt. Contractor claims tamping and crushed gravel for asphalt. I'm not sold on the ground not settling under the asphalt. I've...

    Grease gun problem

What brand is the gun? I use Lincoln. I'm sure I use them more than the average home user. I have 4 different guns with 4 different greases in my kit and the thinnest one is called 4B and it will seep out a bit. Another thing is the grease we use comes in a plastic tubes. The cardboard tubes...

    Grease gun problem

This IS the problem. Why it's happening on your new gun too is a question. The spring on the T slot handle constantly pushes against the grease. When you add a new cartridge, maybe the jump from into the cartridge is destroying your piston. I service robots and have some super thin grease which...

What size metric hose for a 1/4 barb?

I slide a 6mm open end wrench over the Map sensor ******. The sensor is 3 bar LX but the engine will never see over 15 psi. 10-12 is the goal for a stock bottom end 6.0L Update. Skipped buying the hose for now. I will just buy it bring the fitting to a local store later and buy an imperial hose...

What size metric hose for a 1/4 barb?

The clamp can be added later. Thanks. The ONLY reason I'm asking is because I want to order it. It's sold by the foot and do not want to have to return or buy both sizes. This is for a boosted engine. Manifold vacuum/pressure to a remote mounted sensor. I have a...

What size metric hose for a 1/4 barb?

I was able to also calculate the conversion but this is not exhaust tubing. I imagine it requires friction to seal. So the question is 0.01" enough to friction fit and not allow 15psi to push it off?

What size metric hose for a 1/4 barb?

It's a hose between a 1/4" barb and this Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. I can get a 6mm wrench over the barb on the sensor. This needs to hold about 15 psi as that what will be in the intake manifold.

    Survey and grading plan

To obtain a garage permit, the city of Hamilton requires a survey and grading plan. They will exempt the permit if I build it 10' from the property line.

    Survey and grading plan

I'm between honouring this request for a 30 x 38' garage I want to build OR skip it but then they want it 10' from the property line. It's going in my backyard, behind the house. The area back there is 60 x 100'. I want to keep this 2' from the property line which will cost me $5000 to $10,000...
