    Show your new tool arrivals

Morning. I bought this Hein Werner O'BOY at an auction yesterday for $15.00. Despite it's slightly bent handle, it picked up the back end of the El Camino with no issues. The serial number is OS 64202. Any idea on what year this might have been manufactured? At some point I plan to...

    The SK Tools Giveaway...

Please throw my name name in the hat. I figure my odds of winning can't be any worse than the odds of getting some decent snowfall here.

Lucky Break with 2 post lift

To the OP, thanks for sharing. I've got '97 4x4 extended cab I bought new that now as 131,000 Wisconsin miles on it. I last had it up on my hoist 2 years ago but honestly don't remember if I reached the rear springs. I need to pull it in some day and see where my arms reach (10K Rotary)...

    The 320 yard pour begins

Nice! 634 with those Montana pipes? Restored this a couple winters back. Had sat for 30+ years in a shed. Motor was locked up and I had to get the cylinders re-nickaslied. Was fun little project. You worried about carbide marks across the new concrete?

Grease gun - air or battery powered has more force?

Ignoring the convince of a battery powered grease gun (air compressor sits next to my bobcat in the shed), which will have better pressure/force for pushing grease into a zerk? Getting tired of hand squeezing my the manual gun. In looking at online reviews, air guns seem to have a better...

    Garage Size Pictures

Chopper, I lurked and studied shops here for a couple years looking for ideas and thoughts on how big to go. In the end what I thought would work for me and has thus far was having two bays (one with a lift) for my greasy, mechanical work and the rest of the shop for woodworking and "clean"...

    Underhoist oil drain

+1 for this unit. I just keep an extra 5 gallon pail around incase I forget to take the pail to the recycler before the next oil change occurs.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

The dealer is small Mom and Pop type place out in the middle of nowhere. They only have 1 part time employee. Good wash and a polish with a foam pad and Dewalt power. I steel wooled the emblems and trim around the hood opening.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Working on restoring a 1973 Arctic Cat El Tigre 440 quad plug. In 1979 something happened with the motor and the owner left it at a dealer and never picked it up. Sat in a shed since then until a month ago when I bought it. Caked in dust/dirt, but all the pieces are there. Last picture shows...

Flex head ratchet wrenches - do you use yours?

Local Sears has their Craftsman flex head ratchet wrenches on sale, plus I've got a gift card left from Xmas. Just don't know how much I'd ever use them. If you've got a set, how much use do they get? What applications do you use them on. I'm not a mechanic, just a DIY guy... Thanks in advance.

    Metal Building Suppliers...

No idea if you have an Amish close by, but they put up my 32 x 50 shop a couple years back. Very satisfied with their work. Local lumber yard does many projects with them so both the crew and material supplier were familiar with each other. Lumber yard spec'd out all my wood, doors and...

    Morton Buildings can't be serious

Back in 2005 I priced Morton, Cleary and Wicks for my 50' x 72'. As expected Morton was quite a bit more. I went with Cleary. Shed is just as straight, shiney and same color today as it was the day it was built. Check out you're local Amish builders. I had them frame my 32 x 50 shop two...
