This caliper, 7 feet long!!!...although it was the most useless (because it needed three people to use it...LOL) it was also the coolest!!! I also got the Granite surface plate it is sitting on.

I couldn't find Maple there either. For just few bux more you could get Maple from Lumber Liquidators. They ship free to the local store and you pick up there, if you're lucky enough to have one close I guess.

I bought one for my Dad last fall (they go on sale for $29 often). Boy did he let me have it when it took him 3 days to re-engineer it to work PROPERLY. It will grind your saw teeth, but no two will be the same. It goes work great now though. Typical HF machine...needs lots of work to work.
