    Heating Garage

Gas furnace does ok. Better than a mini split would. Can I ask why you've ruled out radiant/in floor heating? Best thing I ever did. I keep my shop at 55 all winter up in MN.

thoughts or opinions on a shop build

I've built a few shops/garages and refuse to pay someone else to do it for me. Put together a plan of what size building you want and go to a few local lumber yards and get material quotes. For that size building, pole construction may be your cheapest option. I'm starting a 36x72 pole barn...

Best way to heat 1000 sqft garage

My old garage (28'x44') ran a Natural Gas fired ceiling hung heater. Can't remember the brand off hand, but it's the type that has a fan on the back side and blows warm air at ya. 110v plug in. I lived in that garage for the winter of '95. Up here in MN that was the coldest we'd had up until...

OT: Detroit to Export US Made Cars

I just think it's funny that the "US" auto companies say they can't make a profit with US based manufacturing and have spent years moving all their production facilities out of the USA and are losing money and going further into debt, meanwhile, the Japanese automakers have been starting up new...

    Tools in the car?

how is this "begging for trouble"??? I think if the area you live in/are traveling through is questionable but you can't avoid driving there, then the Handgun is perfectly logical. As for tools, I could supply a pro shop for most jobs out of my Jeeps. I've fixed and/or replaced: axles...

    Unusual Tips and Tricks

I'm a fan of a liberal application of starting fluid (ether) inside the tire, then toss in a match or touch it with a torch. Stand back when you do this if you like your eyebrows though! :)
