    Ridgid and Southwire Extension Cords

Thank you all so much for your replies. It has been very informative and helpful. I am going to go with the Ridgid cords for now. If I need something better in the future I will pursue making my own cable with one of the heavy duty cable types mentioned.

    Crimpers.

For relatively small wire (>10 gauge) I like the Paladin crimper. There are a lot of dies available so you can crimp a wide range of terminals. For really big wire I like the Panduit CT-720.

    Ridgid and Southwire Extension Cords

I am looking for a good 50' 12/3 extension cord. I've seen a lot of good reviews for Ridgid and Southwire cords. Does anyone have options or experiences that one is better than the other? Is there another good brand of extension cord? Also, Home Depot has the Ridgid cord for $63.97 and...

Keeping Corded Tools replaced by rechargeables

I pretty much only use corded or pneumatic tools. As a weekend enthusiast, the corded tools are less to mess with. I never have to worry about keeping them charged, replacing batteries, etc.

    Welding Equipment

I recently picked up a Montgomery Ward welder. I don't have experience welding so need some supplies (mask, gloves, etc). I am interested in getting setup as inexpensively as possible, and am ok with low quality gear. I prefer pickup in the Phoenix area.
