So I could just go with 2 coats and the chips and I will have a plenty durable floor? I don’t care about the floor shining I just don’t want the chips getting pulled out or flaking off or anything.
The main reason I ask is because I don’t care if it looks pretty but I want it to be durable. So I need to decide if I want to do 1 coat of color and 1 coat of clear or just 2 coats of color. I would prefer to do 2 coats of color and 1 coat of clear but I don’t really want to pay for that.
Is doing a clear coat on an epoxy floor just a looks thing or does it add durability? I'm really just looking for a decent looking durable easy to clean up floor so would just doing 2 coats then laying the chips down be good enough or does the clear coat add something other than looks?
Has anyone here done this? That is what I was going to do but I am a little worried about rain/snow/sun causing it to peel on the outside then I end up with a nasty peeling edge that might start to creep into the garage.
I want to order the Epoxy-Coat system but from what I found on here I will probably need to do 2 coats. My garage is only about 750 sq ft so will 1 kit be enough or will I need 2?
I also wanted to know if I should fill the saw cuts in and if so what with?
