had the same issue with my 2 44's i stuck a couple fender washers under the casters and got longer bolts worked perfect. BTW my casters were the same the metal where the bolted in was a little higher/lower than the other box.

did 2 44's with a butcherblock across the top. although I bought both at the same time there was about a quarter inch difference in height that I had to correct.
