If you get it from Costco, you need to return it to the store yourself for fast refund (550 lbs). If you let them pick it up, you wait three weeks for your refund.

Update on my saga. SPG sent a new box and the quality control is a lot better – I could probably point out 10 things better about the replacement. It would be a slam dunk if the replacement box wasn't dented. The box had some drama in shipping and was even re-palleted somewhere in transit...

Sears Canada also lists the SHD but still much more expensive than Costco ($2350 plus shipping I believe). Bought the Costco box – was supposed to arrive a couple days ago so I'm guessing it will be here this week. Also the boxes are dropshipped from the Quebec factory so I doubt Costco is...

In my line of work many brands can come out of one Asian contract factory. Products are nominally the same but each company does its own QC. The expensive brand will reject product for tolerance issues and those rejects can be sold under a cheaper brand. So same and not same.
