If you get it from Costco, you need to return it to the store yourself for fast refund (550 lbs). If you let them pick it up, you wait three weeks for your refund.

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Update on my saga. SPG sent a new box and the quality control is a lot better – I could probably point out 10 things better about the replacement. It would be a slam dunk if the replacement box wasn't dented. The box had some drama in shipping and was even re-palleted somewhere in transit...

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Other issues I experienced were: some drawers missing springs on the latches and inconsistent drawer gaps. Not only were drawers spaced differently but sometimes the gaps were uneven left-to-right on a single drawer. In the worst case, a drawer rubbed the one below when opening/closing but only...

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Update on my box: SPG sent a replacement drawer. Unfortunately, the replacement was bent out of shape. The packing was pristine, leading me to think it was shipped that way. So the box is going back to Costco. On the plus side, they will pickup the box for return. On the downside, the box will...

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Box came with casters installed but mounted on a custom palette frame. The procedure is to remove eight lag bolts then collapse the palette, leaving the box standing on its casters. Quite clever. In my case some lag bolts were screwed in far enough (with an impact I'm guessing) that my sockets...

I think I read (elsewhere on GJ) they are delivered on a palette WITH casters installed. I hope so but will report back!

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Not sure what it stands for. They are a Canada-based manufacturer in business for over 50 years. They make boxes for other brands and under their own name. http://www.spginternational.com

Do SPG International toolboxes go on sale at Costco in Canada?

Sears Canada also lists the SHD but still much more expensive than Costco ($2350 plus shipping I believe). Bought the Costco box – was supposed to arrive a couple days ago so I'm guessing it will be here this week. Also the boxes are dropshipped from the Quebec factory so I doubt Costco is...

Q for the Auto Mechanics here: Best Oil Filter? and worst? and what does dealer use?

In my line of work many brands can come out of one Asian contract factory. Products are nominally the same but each company does its own QC. The expensive brand will reject product for tolerance issues and those rejects can be sold under a cheaper brand. So same and not same.
