For the past few months we've been renovating the little cabin nextdoor. Yesterday I spent most of the day bringing my tools, various leftover materials and odds and ends back to the shop. Dumped it all on the floor in the middle of the shop and now I get to to spend the next couple of days...

A buddy gave me a section of quartz countertop for the little cabin nextdoor. Enrolled in youtube university for a couple hours and learned how to cut and polish and set the sink....viola!

I've got a couple slabs of beetle kill pine and the designer/boss/wife, wanted some shelves for the bedroom instead of nightstands... Cleaned out the holes with a dental pick and vacuum, then filled them with some drown epoxy and coated with poly....

Bench is finished and put back together... fun little project.

Quick pass with the trim router to round over the edges of the seat and back boards. Then got the first coat of sealer on them.its clear, but I like how it darkened the slats...I've used this sealer on previous outdoor items and been pretty happy with the results

Currently rounding over the edges on the boards for the bench then will seal them. Got the frame wire-wheeled and a coat of black paint on them...

Still working on the little cabin we bought nextdoor. Drywall taping, mudding and sanding...so getting close to being done. Got outside the other day to work on this bench by the firepit. Original owner built this from an old buckboard wagon he found down in the canyon... New redwood slats...

Took a little ride in the new SxS this past Friday and quickly realized why all my buddies have windshields.... Afterwards, I spent an hour or so cleaning mud and dirt out of just about everywhere and ordered a front and rear set. It was actually delivered on Sunday, so got 'em installed and now...

I'm about an hour down the hill from you at 3000ft and we got almost 2ft of snow here. I spent Friday removing trees and clearing roads alongside all the other departments, the county and PGE trying to help get access to a couple of neighborhoods near us. I've snowshoed and backcountry skied up...

Well, even with my rudimentary, freehand, not-to-scale drawing, I was able to turn my idea into a thing. Pretty basic, can't believe it took me half a day to make a box... Now to get the plywood glued and tacked in place and caulked, then the wife can paint to match the cabinets and I can get it...

In the cabin, we're replacing the old wood/propane kitchen stove with a small propane oven/range. It was a very cool old stove, but huge and a little persnickety for the guests/family/kids that will be staying there. The wife has asked me to make a wooden surround for the vent hood so I'm giving...
