Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

Just FYI -- I ordered the 'knobby flat-free' tire. It was $62.50 on Amazon and should be here tomorrow. The 6" hub length and 5/8" bore are pretty standard, and fit our wheelbarrow. No need for spacers or swapping bearings. I like the idea of the flat-free turf tire, but not only does it...

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

Scenic Road scores points! I called earlier and Pete answered the phone immediately. We spoke for ~20 minutes. He recommended buying from their Amazon store: https://www.amazon.com/Scenic-Road-heavy-replacement-wheelbarrow/dp/B0CQDJ325P/?tag=atomicindus08-20...

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

After a stupid amount of research I've found what appear to be decent flat-free wheelbarrow tires. They offer two widths in flat-free: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQDJ325P/?tag=atomicindus08-20 https://www.amazon.com/Scenic-Road-heavy-replacement-wheelbarrow/dp/B00GM5TNM8/?tag=atomicindus08-20...

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

I like the quick switch axle idea! I'd never heard of that before. It seems particularly useful for people who prefer to use pneumatic tires most of the time but want to have a no-flat back-up.

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

From the reviews I've read, most flat-free tires -- particularly the less expensive "chinesium" ones -- are on the softer side. As I posted above, maybe the equivalent of a pneumatic tire inflated to 15-20 psi. That's better for rough terrain as long as the load is relatively light, but with a...

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

That seems to be a common complaint -- that heavier loads and/or rough ground are more difficult with flat-free tires. I researched them a couple years ago for our hand truck. It's nothing fancy but it has held up for ~40 years so I wanted to keep it and just replace the pneumatic tires. Then...

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

Just curious -- why so many wheelbarrows? Also, any thoughts on the best flat-free tire?

Flat free wheel barrow tire- disadvantages?

Repeating Bretny's question -- any thoughts on the best flat-free tire? I know some flat spot, some are so poorly made they actually roll off the rim, load ratings vary -- as does bearing quality.

    BluBird Rubber Hoses

 Sweet deal! TheBlueHose (TBH) prices make me feel good about what I'm paying HD, but it's still about $1.20 per foot. This all came about because our "good" hose literally broke in half at 20*F when I was putting a gentle bend in it. It had already been repaired a couple times so I...

    BluBird Rubber Hoses

Nice! I considered 1" ID hose but it is a LOT more expensive -- IIRC, 1" x 100' is ~$270 vs $120 for 3/4" x 100'. More than double the price. I was looking at a chart that shows psi drop per 100' and @ 5 GPM, the drop is 1 psi for 1" ID hose and 4 psi for 3/4":

    BluBird Rubber Hoses

In the email notice I got, your reply was: "the female hose fitting sure looks like a garden hose fitting..." I can't find that post here on the forum, but yeah, both fittings are typical standard 3/4" GHT couplings. The male looked smaller to me originally -- optical illusion I guess, as...

    BluBird Rubber Hoses

Follow-up: The adapter shown in some photos is no longer included. It was to increase the size of the male fitting from the std. 3/4" to 1" for some irrigation systems. The AG-Lite Hoses come with 2 EPDM O-rings (shown in some photos) instead of washers. All else equal, I'd buy from...

    BluBird Rubber Hoses

BTW, Neetu told me the photo (above) that includes an adapter is outdated. I have not been told what the adapter was for. It appears as though the male hose connector was smaller than normal, and the adapter brought it out to the usual O.D. Maybe the hose served 2 purposes? Also, Neetu...
