    Portable Heat for my 30x40x12

OK, help put it in context for me. High indoor humidity meaning what happens? How high? I'll likely run it only on weekends and when it's below freezing.

    Portable Heat for my 30x40x12

Mostly want the area I'm working in heated. And I don't need it toasty warm. If I can get it into the 50s, I'll put on a sweatshirt and be fine. I think this wall mount will do fine. It hasn't been run in a few years, hopefully I can get it working.

    Portable Heat for my 30x40x12

I've got a Mr Heater 30K BTU propane heater on the wall of my garage that I don't use anymore. I discovered it can be mounted on legs, so that seems like a good place to start.

    Portable Heat for my 30x40x12

Not sure, really. A few hundred dollars? Under $1K for sure. Right now under freezing there's no working out there. I'm just trying to make it tolerable so I can extend the use of the barn until I can get a permanent solution.

Either. I don't have anything but 110 and I'd have to run off 20lb propane tanks.

    Portable Heat for my 30x40x12

I was planning to get a mini split for my barn this year, but the house heat pump needs replacing so there goes the barn heat money. So, to make it so I can continue to work out there year round, I'd like to get some kind of portable space heater that will at least keep the area near me...

New Atlas 2 Post Lift Drops Very Slowly

Hmm, that's too bad, but I don't imagine raising it unloaded often. But its first job was pulling this workbench out of my truck. :D Came from my dad, it's been in the family over 80 years. Took a while to drop it to the ground.

New Atlas 2 Post Lift Drops Very Slowly

I have a newly installed Atlas 2 post. I had it professionally installed, but they don't do the wiring. I just got it wired up and I ran it up part way and it dropped very, very slowly. The arms were maybe 5 feet up and, I didn't time it, but I think it took a couple of minutes to fully drop. It...

    2 Post Lift Positioning

Unfortunately, the longest car I imagine lifting is my dad's and not nearby to actually place in space.

    2 Post Lift Positioning

If I want it in the center of the Eldorado's wheelbase, that's a bit more than 10' from the door. The closest I can go is 12' because of the door tracks, so maybe that's the direction I ought to go. But, I'm actually not sure how to position cars on a 2 post. Is the midpoint of the wheelbase...

    2 Post Lift Positioning

I guess I should have been clearer. It's going inside the RH door, the question is exactly how far inside. I've already got the wiring above this area and there concrete is extra thick there too. The area behind the lift is primarily storage for the mower and other stuff and there's another...

    2 Post Lift Positioning

My barn's been complete for about 2 years and I'm finally getting my lift installed. I've got an Atlas 9OHSC-SS coming Tuesday. My question is where should I install it relative to the OH door? I don't want to have to pull cars in too far, sacrificing usable space behind the lift, but of course...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT 30x40 OH Car Barn

Post #11 - "Since this is just a workshop, I elected not to finish the walls. I may finish them later. For now, just plastic on the walls." ;) I will probably put something up behind the workbench, (pegboard? drywall? Sheetmetal? Not sure) once I get that, but for now I'm cool with unfinished...

New concrete pad, thickness with hoist

I just built a 30x40 and am planning a 2 post lift, although not likely a BendPak. Almost every lift manufacturer recommends 4.25" / 3,000 psi, but BendPak is the only one I looked at that recommended rebar (the other outlier was Apluslift who said 6" / 3,500 psi). Since I wasn't going BendPak...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT 30x40 OH Car Barn

Minor update. I've since installed TP-Link Kasa wifi connected light switches so I can turn on my lights from inside the house. The garage openers the builder installed are wifi enabled Genie wall mount openers, so I can turn on the outside & inside lights and open the door from my phone...
