    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Since my walls and ceiling are gloss, eggshell white, and light grey floor, I used 80/80/55 and populated accordingly. It came out very bright. I only wish I had 5000k instead of the 4000k but I think it is more mental than visual! :-) Thanks for the explanation of the calculator, that must be...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Something is wrong. My link www.visual-3d.com/tools/interior/default.aspx?id=14782 shows qty 12 lights and room 26 x 36. No idea why your data is different. In this post I modified the link by deleting the http in the front of the url. Maybe try it and see if different results. Maybe I'm...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

http://www.visual-3d.com/tools/interior/default.aspx?id=14782 My shop is 26 x 36 x 11 ft ceiling. Finished all over. White walls, white ceiling, light grey floor. I used 80% reflective walls and ceiling, 55% floor. 12, 2-lamps, 3000 lumens gave me 91fc at 30". I have them on 3 circuits and most...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

OVERKILL! . . . if you have a finished garage with painted walls and a light color, reflective, floor. But then again, you didn't describe your environment or the lumens of the bulbs. Probably could be half that amount, depending . . . :-)

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

Due to the photobucket fiasco I can not see any of your construction pics from the link at the bottom of your post! Not sure of what to do. Thanks for the Lowes heads-up.

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I have been subscribed to this thread from the beginning. It just dawned on me that I have had no email notice for the past few months! Went back and checked my email and surprise! . . . my last notice was August of last year! Not sure what is going on but this is just a "heads-up" to...

    The Best Light Fixture Ever!

I jumped on this thread more than 2 years ago. The work laid out by Plantonic Solid was a great benefit and appreciated. However, he inferred at the time the LED industry was still immature and pricing and technology was changing rapidly. I have read the entire thread 2 times and I am no better...

    Mitutoyo Micrometer Questions

I need to clarify. You can still buy that mic for around $100. But that is a new tool. A used instrument, measuring to .0001", people are afraid of it. Buying digital is more popular with the kids and $100 for new is worth it for an old guy! LOL.

    Mitutoyo Micrometer Questions

All Mitutoyo measuring tools are of the highest quality. They came with a hardened anvil, a sensitive clutch, and resolution of .0001". Back-in-the-day those features were optional and extra cost on the "professional" brand of the day, Starrett. They came standard on the Mitutoyo. It was about...

    Shrinkage cracks getting worse

I don’t see any joints. No matter where it or what it is, ALL concrete must have joints to prevent random cracking. I don’t care if it is a runway in Thailand, a freeway, a polished Bank floor, or a garage. If it is not a post-tension design, concrete should be jointed for every cubic yard or...
