Haven’t been on here since the new site, however i found something today I just couldn’t keep to myself. It’s a 1/2” drive Penncraft set, with the original warranty note. I think it’s missing a spark plug socket, but I could be wrong. Found in the wild at the local flea market.
Yet another vote for Tekton, nice tools for the price. I have used and like their sockets wrenches and even screwdrivers.
Ratchets are really a personal preference, and while the Tekton ratchets are probably ok, I prefer SK. You may want to experiment with different brands or just stick with...
I use all my vintage pliers, if they wear out or break I will just scrap them. Although I don't think that is very likely, most of them perform better then there modern equivalents, and that includes the Klein's and CL that are still made today.
Hard handle is my favorite but I have some of each. I like the hard handle because they are easier to clean, but thicker then chrome and easier to grip with gloves.
SK Long Pattern, or Tekton. I have both and really like the SK, the Tekton are nice wrenches for the price though.
Also, I would keep the Gearwrench, I can't imagine being without ratcheting wrenches for certain jobs
This thread needs pictures....here are 3 of my Cornwell ratchets shown in my backup ratchet drawer. I may end of eliminating some of these ratchets eventually, but I’m sure the Cornwell will be staying.
