^ ^ ^ Old thread... but more info might help... Here's another alternative: 2 x pairs of Unibody Pinch-weld Clamps... and a rotisserie. Use galvanised pipe with "DIY locking collars" for cross-tubes... Fabricate a jig to mount cross-tubes & pinch-weld clamps... The jig (secondary chassis)...

Thanks guys but what I'd like to find out is what disadvantages to look out for. Its made in Taiwan but can't find a Manufacturer's name plate on anything except the motor. Its sold by Enco in US and it looks very similar to Grizzly's 20" VS but that's as much as I know about it. Can anyone...

Can't afford a milling machine so thinking about doing the same thing to a 20" VS drill press. Both Grizzly and Enco sell them. AFAIK both sell seperate cross feed tables as well. Maybe someone else knows more about it.

^ ^ ^ Ahh... Willie... Willie. :) Nope, I don't like to gloat. Life's too short. Too short on $$$ for that anyhow. I never owned a drill press before this one. My dad had an old lathe and radial arm saw etc. but no drill press. Just couldn't pass up that deal. Didn't know a damn about that...
