I haven't disappeared Lyndon, I tend to only say if I feel I can contribute. Cheers for wondering where I went though...

Shedzilla - My first 7x10m garage [AUS]

Joker, Best advice for building a shed/garage would be to speak to the Local Council/Shire for where you are looking to buy, and ask them what their requirements are for building one within their area of responsibility. While every Victorian based local government authority is required to...

    "The Upcycle Shop"

Robot won't have OSB - and A&R only seem to get some items when someone else is closing out lots (missed out on bulk orange tongue flooring and 3mm white MDF from someone else when they bought it!) but you might be able to find some at Provans Home Timber and Hardware in Clifton Hill (Hoddle St)...

Geoff, grab some pine (19mm, 3/4") thick and screw that into the studs, followed by the cabinet brackets to that. I had to do that for laundry cabinets for my parents a few years ago. Just make sure you use something that is about 90mm wide and use two screws per stud.

Head first is always the way! I have some of their 42" tool cabs, 3x double door HD wall cabs and a HD 46" drawer and cupboard cab and they all get a workout. Once I move into a new workshop I'll end up with more tall lockers and benches to get the space setup properly. Can't wait to see the...

Geoff, You'll enjoy the Just Pro Tools Maxim cabinets - I have had them for about 7 years and will be looking for more when I move into a new workshop once this virus is under control.

Shedzilla - My first 7x10m garage [AUS]

I'm updating the website now, just waiting for the trademark registration to be confirmed before I launch a new range of gear (Aus made, about 70% sourced materials) o I'll let you know when it is ready to go. The Fanatec stuff has improved a fair bit over the years, for some people it comes...

Garage computers, (TV) monitor behind the workbench ?

I'll add my 2c given my experiences over a number of years. Any device in the shop will be subjected to whatever you work with - chemicals, gas, wood, metal, plastic, or general dust from hoarding... having the discipline to keep anything clean will assist its life span. I don't currently use...

    flexovit cutoff wheels ?

Flexovit are the most common brand in Australia, and I have used them for over 20 years (metal, masonry and aluminium discs). All sizes from 4" (100mm) through to 9" (230mm) on grinders and a 12" (305mm) on the drop saw. I have only ever had 2 break on me - 1 when my grinder dropped blade first...

Always happy to help, like you I don't have any Ryobi gear that fits (I use Makita) and if I am desperate I could just find a vinyl wrap with the logo on it to change the colour. Should look good in your new build, I've seen your thread quite a bit.

No worries about the pegboard Anth, still considering my options for above my electronics bench. As for the MDF, are you referring to the top surface or the edges? I use Feast Watson Sanding Sealer (https://www.bunnings.com.au/feast-watson-1l-sanding-sealer_p1564794) for all of the MDF edges I...

Shedzilla - My first 7x10m garage [AUS]

It's been a while since I've been on Anth, but the shed is coming along nicely. Like you, I have installed hooks a number of years ago for those same chairs, but the ones I had were older - they allowed me to put a shelf on top, so I managed to fit two sets side by side between the pillars of...

Re: Lyndon's Recuperation Space (the Garage). Lyndon, The one you are looking for is a C17 out of Amberley. They used that particular plane as it had the White Ribbon logo on it, and WR was this year's official charity. When the girls from WR saw it go by they were jumping out of their skin...

    A Shed Downunder.

I'm not opening that link - my wallet currently has a knife, and isn't afraid to use it! The new place looks like a good get, but I think there was one thing missing from your list - fix the finial on the gate post. That would bug the **** out of me...

Re: Lyndon's Recuperation Space (the Garage). It is a Ford Falcon, XC model from memory. The Cobra version as above was a run out for the last of the Coupe body styles. Lyndon, if you were in the Historics paddock, we may have crossed paths. I was on site for Shannons maintaining their...
