What is a great bit socket set that is preferably mostly 3/8 size and chrome. A full set should include sae metric allens, metric mostly for torx, and screwdriver bits. Maybe like 50 pieces total without going over $200 for good quality.

you have a point but those are thick and probably cheap. The fact is its rare that the extra fractions of an inch make a difference. And even then the ratcheting mechanisim wins over slimness anyday. If clearance is an issue then grab a fixed wrench, but %99 of the time ratcheting works %100 better.

It was a nice heartwarming story but most customers in todays generation would just buy the socket on Ebay for $5 and avoid all of that completley.

i have never broken a ratcheting reversible or non reversible wrench. I hardly even use fixed / normal wrenches now. Ratcheting saves so much time.

yep, matcos 3/8 head is as slim as snap ons 1/4. I havent compared the other sizes but I assume matcos 3/8 is as thin as snap ons 1/2 etc.
