The only other brands that I am aware of besides Facom are Format, SAM, and Bost. I recally Format making some sockets and such. Bost makes screwdrivers, however i think they are owned by Stanley Black and Decker now.
If you are gonna buy a tap, Buy a good one -like a Greenfield. Its not worth taking the risk with a chinesium tap; ******* up your engine block over not spending an extra $10. Also, make sure you get the right style of tap. The Irwin you pictured is a plug tap, For a blind hole like a head...
Don't know if you are interested, but you could also try and sell Wurth Tools. Wurth is a german company but they seem to source their tools from all over (Facom, Ko-Ken, USAG, Beta....)
I'd say go big and spend the extra money for NAS Bolts. More shear strength than a grade 5 bolt and more tensile strength than a grade 8 bolt, So you are getting the best of both worlds. Also They are usually cadmium plated, so corrosion isn't much of an issue.
AvE - Dude is the best. Tool companies hate him because he opens up their tools and tells you exactly what parts are used, what they do, and if the tool is chinsy or not. However his commentary is the icing in the cake....Keep on chooching the good chooch yall.
Depends on what the issue is with the motor. Is it seized? If so take it off, open it up, pull out the armature clean it up and slap it back together. If its a winding or the contacts have welded themselves open, then it's basically a boat anchor and is going to cost more than a new motor to fix...
