Yes again another Powder coat oven senario!

Joe, do you think 3500 watts is too much for one element? It's the highest wattage I can find that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The last question is do you think I need a convection fan? I hear it go both ways. Anyone's opinion would be greatly appreciated. I found a PID that came with a 25 or...

Yes again another Powder coat oven senario!

9Guy9, I figured that the inside of my oven would be 30 sqft. and your dead on about the size of this oven in relation to a regular one. Do you think one 4000 watt element would work? I calculated that it would pull between 17 and 19 amps or should I go 2 2500 watt elements, I ask because I am...

Yes again another Powder coat oven senario!

I have looked into getting an old oven and gutting it but I don't think its the best move. The 2 ovens I looked at were shot and required a ton of work just getting the element and controls installed. I think its easier to get one good element a PID and SSR. problem is I don't know the best set...

Yes again another Powder coat oven senario!

Phil and Strouty, thanks for the input, I had no idea which elements to use and how much juice I would need. Did you guys use PID's or just the basic oven controls? I have to admit the food warmer has all of the inside set up done for you. The racks are perfect for hanging large and many small...

Yes again another Powder coat oven senario!

I repurpose antiques and need to powder coat a few larger objects. I bought for $130.00 a food warmer that is made out of aluminum with a little bit of insulation. I am insulating the outside with Rock Wool in a 2 x 4 Steel stud frame and skin. (All on the outside to help with the insulating...

    Welding Table Help!

I have built a welding table but found that my 1/2" 3' x 4' plate is arced. I can pull it down with clamps to straighten it but which way should I pull the arc? Should I place it on the table as an upside down letter "U" or place it on the table like the letter "U"? Any help is appreciated...

    Carbide Metal Chop Saw

Mmfh Was his HF saw an abrasive saw with a carbide blade on it or a chop saw made for carbide cutting. I think there is a speed difference and a torque difference.

    Carbide Metal Chop Saw

I have a Ridgid 14" abrasive chop saw and it's ok, but I saw a carbide chop saw and tried it out at a shop and loved it. The cuts were clean, no burrs and dead on. There was no blade wobble like the abrasive saw and you can re - cut material like a wood chop saw and take a little off. Something...

    Air Compressor Dryer and Drain

Alright guys here goes, I have looked over the net and found a pretty compact and simple design for a compressor dryer. But where I am stumped is in the area of getting rid of the water. Most applications want you to route the discharge tube from the pump itself to the dryer then into the tank...

Crete Coater, that looks good, what colors do you have and what would it cost for a 425 sqft garage? By the way, I hope you didn't eat the waffle. And same out to you legacy, give me a ballpark cost and again don't eat a ***********.

Staining a Floor and sealing it?

I have read all I can possibly read about VCT, Epoxy coats and hard tile. I am just thinking, what would happen if I cleaned the floor and stained it then put a sealer over it? I fabricate and weld, work on cars in my garage and want to keep as much money in my pocket. Can it be done and does...
