Comfort Zone CZ230er and other heaters like it

Replacement unit came today. Swapped them out and it blows much hotter. I can't keep my hand in front of the unit as it is extremely hot. This is what I expected. Once I get insulation, I imagine it'll be just fine. But I get to wait till next winter for that

I'm about 475-525 ft above sea level. I'm aware about ceiling insulation. Its just that it doesn't seem to blow hot air, just really warm.

I reached out to World & main, the company that makes these, and they set me up with a warranty replacement based off of the information I gave them. We'll see. My garage is mostly insulated in the walls. Granted, I have none in the ceiling. But I can put my hand in front of the heater and...

That helps immensely. I knew something had to be wrong. I have 11 ft ceilings in my garage, but it has to do something better than this one has done. I could put my hand right up to the louvers and it didn't seem hot. And it was on the high(7500W) setting

It is a tube with fins. I understand that the temperature rise can only be so much, but I would expect a 7500W unit to blow out warmer air than an 800W 120V floor unit.

It's tight. Lots of people actually mention to move the thermostat to the outside of the unit too. you have to loosen the fan and rear grate. I did that and then re-tightened everything

Thanks everybody. I had a feeling that something was wrong with the unit when I first turned it on. I put in the recommended wire size and breaker. It barely does anything. I started a warranty process with Comfort Zone.

Those of you guys using heaters like the Comfort Zone heater, does the heating element get red all over or does it get red at all? I just finished installing this thing, and it turns on, the fan runs, and there is heat that comes out of it. It's a 220v hard wire connection. Tested voltage at...

Removing tire marks on conrete (new slab) - prior to coating.

Have you tried a deck brush? I had some tire mark on new concrete that I just put some elbow grease into with a hard bristle deck brush. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app
