    Craigslist Kobalt Compressor PickUp

Thanks for your response. That's exactly what I was hoping to hear. Looks like I'm about to set up will call for Monday morning. M-C is 25 minutes from my shop. I'm in the midst of reorganizing the paint area in my shop. The Quincy has got to relocate, otherwise I'll get the Bondo Blues. This...

    Craigslist Kobalt Compressor PickUp

8 years out, what condition are the McMaster Rubber anti vibration mounts in and how are they holding up? Would you do it the same way if you had to do it all over again? I have a Quincy 60 gal that needs to be moved and will most likely benefit from something like these.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Spent the day cutting, grinding, and welding some 3/8 hot roll for a vise stand that I'm building. Oh yeah, did some drilling too as I'm bolting it to a semi rim for the base. Lots of drilling. Also welded up a ram with side pipes for a brake press that I'm building for my 20 ton press. That and...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

I've owned several rolling products that were manufactured in Coventry: Spits, GT6's, TR4A, and two TR6's. While growing up, I knew a man in our neighborhood whose driveway was chock full of Triumphs. He had all of the TR variants except the wedges. He was a straight six type of guy. No V's and...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

That's a fantastic rebuild! I'm an hour north of you. I have a 1905 blacksmith shop and a 1922 corner store that I'm reworking. The blacksmith shop has been rewired, insulated, and paneled with OSB. It works. Like your shop, you can see exterior walls on the inside before they grafted on another...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Guess it would help if I posted a pic. What made it even sweeter was that everything for the dolly was repurposed. No money was spent on this project which made for a really happy wife in my life!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I bought a used 120 gallon air tank that up until last week was part of a 10HP Atlas Copco compressor. Somehow the compressor was knocked over by a forklift or other equipment. The head assembly sheared off the tank. I'm told that it was irreparable. So I got a tank cheap. I plan to use it as a...

    2x4 vs 2x6 walls?

We're in the midst of renovating a 1928 masonry building that will house my wood shop and other equipment. Lots of tuckpointing and a new roof are in the plan. The concept is to stud her out with 2x4's on 16" centers on the inside and use closed cell foam insulation for the roof and walls. Check...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I'm building a 9 drawer hutch with overhead shelves for the woodshop. I've got some projects that will require a lot of flat surfaces. Time for the tools to find a home. I built the drawers this weekend. Will hopefully install then populate them this week.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

You're a good man Chief. I've had "Friends" return mangled tools that were in near condition when I loaned them out. That was in the early days. I don't do that anymore unless it's a trusted friend who respects his own tools like I do mine.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I feel your pain. I used to work on old Triumphs for fun. Spits, GT6's, and TR's. The only thing you can depend on with an old Triumph or MG is yesterday's drive. At least the Spits and GT's had a tilt up bonnet to make east to climb in and use a wheel as a seat when working on the engine. Terry
