4 Post Lift in small Garage?

Any chance I could get brand and model number you have? You describe my scenario to the T.

Building a new house: In Floor Garage Heating or not?

As a builder, I have value engineered projects to death. First I would plan open cell foam for both areas as a base no matter what you end up doing. The simplest route is a 2-zone gas split system. Since these areas will only be tempered sporadically, this justifies it's own system and...

Would you buy a lot with a questionable septic system?

Codes were also different when the original was installed. Based on bedroom count, usually. How many bedrooms are you planning over original count? ALso, they may require you extend the field. Do you have the lot footage if necessary? Most jurisdictions are on the buyers side in that the...

    Vibratory tumber media

Navel jelly is a great rust remover. Used to de-rust bike parts when I was a kid. Always keep a jar around for the little projects.

    Garage door windows pulling out?

To seal or not to seal

    Footers under concrete floor

If this slab is independent from the pole structure (floating) then I wouldn't put footers in for a future loft. I would cut holes...

    Epoxy Under Racedeck

I agree with just doing a concrete sealer. This is all you need to keep anything from penetrating. Anything more is a total waste of time and money.

Does RaceDeck offer any insulation value?

It does sere as a true thermal break, but because it's not continuously contacting the concrete surface (grid on the bottom) then they probably can't sell it as an insulated flooring tile.

    Finding Water lines

Go rent a thermal imager for a couple of hours!!! It will cost way less than piercing a single heat tube!
