    Just got the floor finished!

One of the top 10 nicest looking projects I've seen! And you have floor drains there..... I have similar color scheme, and after looking at yours, I am definately going to add the stripe around the perimeter. S

    About RaceDeck From RaceDeck

Jack: After enjoying only a semi-sloppy MN winter this year, I can testify that the open-mesh style RaceDeck tiles do a nice job of allowing the sand, slop to drain thru. My garage vac makes quick work of the clean-up once the wetness dissipates. S

    Race Deck Flooring

HotRod: I was able to get the 12 x 12's at $3.00 per tile direct from RaceDeck in Utah. This was last Fall, so maybe there has been a big price increase?? I did purchase 750 tiles. Scott

    Finished my RaceDeck Floor

Enginerd: Sorry I didn't respond sooner. By accident the tapered side of the RACEDECK edge tiles sit just about half-way under the rubber garage door seal. From the outside you cant see them when the garage door is down. The rubber seal must j-u-s-t hide them. What I have seen as a benefit...

help? installing a 45000btu NG mr heater maxx

My inspector "preferred" to see a dedicated gas line regulator just upline of my new garage furnace. Code did not require it.....I could have cut into the gas line feeding my house furnace AFTER that regulator (essentially there would be a tee after that regulator with the separate gas line...

    Finished my RaceDeck Floor

Yes...you can mix 12 in. and 18 in. squares. Depending on the pattern you design, you obviously have to mate three 12's with two 18's.... if you know what I mean. Otherwise the interlocking system is universal throughout their tiles.

    Finished my RaceDeck Floor

Thanks! I purchased an ADP Cayenne.

    Finished my RaceDeck Floor

Thanks! Although there are distributers in some parts of the country, there were none in Minnesota. Therefore I ordered direct from RaceDeck. Price was basically $3.00 per DIAMOND square and less for the FREEFLOW squares. However, recently I saw where they would do a deal for Garage Journal...

    Finished my RaceDeck Floor

Thanks! yeah....the ADP Cayenne heaters look identical to the Modine Hot Dawg on the outside. Although comparable, I understand they are slightly different on the inside. Scott

What amount of BTU do I need?

I have a slightly larger footprint (34 x 20), with essentially the same insulation ratings in walls/ceilings. Also have the R14 garage doors. You do have a higher ceiling however. I have an ADP CAYENNE rated at 45,000 BTU and it works like a charm. I keep the garage at a constant 50 deg...

    Finished my RaceDeck Floor

Just finished....all 750 tiles worth. Used commercial rubber base molding to finish off the perimeter and hide the expansion gap around same. After two snow storms already, I can vouch for the effectiveness of using the FreeFlow tiles in the tire pathways. Snow falls directly down, melts...

Mr Heater vent up or down?

It may be code related. Here in St. Paul, Minnesota my inspector wanted all horizontal vent pipes pitched UP the usual 1/4-in per foot minimum. No downward pitched horizontal runs. I believe the only advantage to the downward option is if there was some clearance issue that forced you to...

More pain with my Modine HDS-45

If you are comfortable with removing the access panel and looking inside the unit, take a look at the circuit board. Do you see the little green light on the board? Without adjusting the thermostat to call for heat is the green light steady on? Then, after you adjust the thermostat to call...

    Anyone, Anyone?

Even without the thermostat wired-in, but with the 120V line correctly installed, you should still get the little green diagnostics light to be on, or flashing you some code. I believe it was some folks with the Modine HOTDAWG that had some problems with the board. I have an ADP CAYENNE and...

    Noisy / Rattling Heater... Solutions?

Assuming the unit is mounted to rafters that have appropriate cross bracings, and are otherwise rigid, you should get too much noise. The ceiling sheetrock should be doing this for you to some degree. How is the vibration of the unit as it is hung now? If you put your hand on the housing and...
