It's geared about 3.5:1 . The motor isn't original its marked 1725 rpm, so rough math puts the blade speed at 400-500 sfpm , I think it was last used as a meat saw.
I plan on setting up a better stand and a jackshaft setup to gear it down for metal work.

Try a normal rotation drill bit about half the bolt size first, try to get it centered. If that fails go to the welding a nut ontop of the broken bolt.

We use alot of these, the only problem I see is keeping dirt from plugging the holes.
I have a small welding table on my welder cart, I had no problems for years, Then one day wire started to burn off inside the welder.
I had a batch of wire spools with a long "tail" that grounded on the welder case, after trimming them, no more problems .

I fabricate for a living , factory machinery and fixtures mostly. If I can roll something into a better position to weld I will, just trying to do the best job I can. Welding in position is an important skill to learn , but don't be ashamed to roll your work to a position you are comfortable with.
