Two air compressor pumps, one motor, one tank - Help me ponder

X2 on the 4cfm per hp, most of our duplex units get by with one check valve and an alternator panel running 2 motors and 2 pumps. Panel has separate disconnects for each motor, and runs it's own starter, overload and transformer and relays/terminal boards per side. The way they work is they...

Two air compressor pumps, one motor, one tank - Help me ponder

Interesting plan, although a single motor duplex would require some close attention on the motor/sheave assembly. I would want a check valve on each pump, unless you have it on the tank before the tee, and have each pumps unloader running separately. Good luck with your project
