Running air lines in a trench with electrical to a shed?

No problems.. I have painted with an HVLP gun, run air tools, blow down the floor regularly, and the only pressure drop comes from a low CFM compressor. The 3/4" pex is more than able to handle the +-3CFM my compressor puts out; a source I found shows 3/4" pipe to be good for 25CFM for up to...

Running air lines in a trench with electrical to a shed?

I see this is an old thread.. I'll add my experience for posterity. My 12x24 shed is about a 120' run to the garage and I was determined to move the compressor to the shed and pipe it to the garage. I initially trenched solely for electrical power, ran 3/4 pipe, then opened the trench back up a...

Drum Doktor B-500 drum brake lathe

I refurbished this drum brake lathe last year with new gear train bushings, sandblasted and painted with automotive 2k epoxy primer and single stage red topcoat. The motor was replaced with a good used motor with a new belt. I replaced the wiring, switches, and receptacle.. it runs, shifts, and...

    Help on Breaker Panel

My fault, I mistakenly put the wrong years. My AHJ is using 2014 NEC, just cycled to it from the 2008 NEC in 2018.

    Help on Breaker Panel

I may have missed it but my understanding was this type of situation only required one grounding electrode at the outbuilding, with the standard GEC isolated from the neutral bus. This is based on reading the 2014 code... we just went to 2018 NEC in my county, did it change this cycle?

    GJ's view on HF Pricing?

I'm personally not a fan of the marketing and pricing changes. The point has already been made here that their upper tier sub-brands are close in price to other more reputable companies. I would not buy a battery powered impact driver from HF when I could spend ten or twenty more on a name brand...

    ground rod for shed panel

It's hard to get anyone to come out and do a job, let alone do it well. I guess there's enough work going around that people aren't hungry

Need Help With Wiring and Lighting Plan for Attached Garage/Hot Rod Shop

You can run another sub panel from your existing sub panel. It would be a good practice to measure your amp load on the feeder wires before you add another subpanel. It sounds like you already know what you want or need; my suggestion is more receptacles... I treat a working garage more like a...

Help I've got moles destroying my yard!

I used the rural king mole trap 1001. Once the mole tunnels started getting active again this year I caught two moles a day apart. Squishes em and kills them

Aux heat coming on in normal heat mode?

The compressor has its own oil supply so even though the compressor is running, that doesn't mean it's actually doing anything. If you put a set of gauges on the pipes you'll find out in a hurry what's going on. R22 is being phased out (federally), and FYI after January 2020 it will not be...
