    Tools of Japan

I have three or four that have developed some type of surface rust. The finish on the Tones is much smoother as well compared to the black oxide. I will be ordering some Proto's in 1/2" deep to compare as well. YMMV

Ordered some TONE impacts. They use an electroless nickle plating. It creates a iniform layer inside and out unlike standard plating. It also offers corrosion resistance where black oxide offers none. We will see.

Dry Lube for Spinning Tool Handles

I have had good results with microlon gun juice, but it might be overkill for this application.

Alternative for Snap On hose clamp sockets

Ko-ken 13301A series is what you are looking for, but you will have to pick up singles. Thin wall, six point, and they are longer than the snap ons. I doubt you will find a set of exactly what you are looking for.

You might want to measure the open end of the Stahlwille again or check your calipers. It measures smaller than 10mm at 9.82mm. That can't be possible. Good follow up! Maybe my philosophy is wrong and by no means am I questioning your test, but I always thought open end wrenches were...

    Quality Pocket Knife

Never heard of Boye knives, but now I am intrigued. I broke the pocket clip on my aluminum SOG flash 1 this weekend. I got on their website and they have a clip replacement program. Should get here in the next couple weeks so I am carrying the kershaw until then.

I was simply quoting Stahlwille. "STAHLWILLE HPQ spanners are manufactured from selected tough steel alloys. The result: extremely high load capacity with exceptionally thin rings. HPQ spanners are free of cadmium and are therefore suitable or use on titanium alloy parts and titanium...

two recent big box store experiences

I hope you patronize that store more often. That manager took a loss for Kobalt. This should be a highlight for awesome customer service and doing things that don't have to be done. We are quick to **** on Lowes and other retail for warranty and return pains, but this should be celebrated. I am...

Not exactly true. Aircrafts use SAE fasteners so that is the main difference. However, they also have to meet military standards which are different than DIN/ISO standards so lower volume means higher cost. Also the Stahlwille spanners with zeros are made with a different steel, but it is free...

2502MRMH finally showed up today. I also got in several t25 torx bits for testing: wera hf, wiha align, wiha terminator but you all know what those look like. I am going to be doing some long term testing against several other brands. I added a felo extra strong magnetic bit holder and a couple...

I emailed KC tool about the cobra xs pliers, and they said they would have stock on June 5th. Just FYI for anyone interested.

I ordered the jokari strippers last year. They are foolproof and made wiring up a new bath fan dead simple. Sold me the first time I used them. Everyone should add them to their next Amazon.de order. Speaking of order add ons.....when is the cobra xs coming out? Knipex said spring 2020.
