Use of Soy Stripper for removal of polyaspartic floor.

Wanted to share a company I found out of Idaho, Nicholas is the owner Creto-Seal. I am using his method now to strip out the flooring. I believe I have effectively ground out the top two layers. We are seeing the bottom layer never set up, it’s goopy and outgassing is even worse. This is one...

Help! Garage is making me and family sick

I don’t believe these chemicals should be legal. Physical systems included: headache, nausea, and extreme disorientation after 20 min of exposure even with windows open. They act as a central nervousness system poison. I was “green washed” with Low VOC marketing. I have air quality tests at...

Help! Garage is making me and family sick

Yep, it’s what I wish I would have done now too. I was charged $3k and am over $2k in removing it. 80 hours of grinding/cleaning and now I’m using a paint stripper. Had to evacuate the house. Still unsure if we are ever going to get the smell out. :/

Help! Garage is making me and family sick

I am having mine removed as well. My job was done in October 2021. I had to evacuate the building from the fumes. In the process of grinding the stuff out. Good luck! Maybe our stories will help others be very cautious in using these products or working with contractors who are (obviously)...

    Poly-Aspartic Floor Nightmare

I’m 16 hours in. Feel like I’m getting somewhere. I’m going to rent the hand grinder next for around the edges and am open to the denatured alcohol to help remove too. I posted in the thread the cleaning products I’m using and the chemical analysis I had done months ago. Thank you for your...

    Poly-Aspartic Floor Nightmare

I’m doing a semi-wet application with a spray bottle these two products during the grinding to help keep the dust down even with the vacuum. Then, add water to large mop basin + the cleaners and spread over whole area. I let it soak in and then mop up. Repeat. I’m 16 hours into grinding now...

    Poly-Aspartic Floor Nightmare

This is the chemical analysis ($125) I had done by a company called Chemical Badges out of Florida. They are amazing. Reading was done months after install. I’m grinding all the flooring out and already have another test ordered to do when I am done.

best way to remove polyspartic coating?

Dave, I have had a similar issue and posted here about it. You are saying you used a solvent around the base walls? Was it the denatured alcohol? My issue has been going on for four months now. Same with chemical testing show high levels of xylene, benzene and alcohol. The vendor takes no...

    Poly-Aspartic Floor Nightmare

Yea, Bikerneil. Thankfully I bought the place for the land surrounding, but yes, it’s been insanely stressful and all around a health hazard. Thank you for letting me share my story here as maybe it can help others.

    Poly-Aspartic Floor Nightmare

Thank you for your response! I am on a hunt for a better grinder at the moment. Flagstaff Chemical supply company is suggesting a ph balancing cleaner of some sort after the grinding? I’m going all the way down to rock. Shop vac, black plastic garbage bag tied off for disposal. I’ve been told...
