So I took the springs out and not broken but one was bent. Replaced springs, roller drums and end locking cap mechanism and works great now. Posting photo incase anyone has similar symptoms and see this post

I was able to determine when raising the door, with tension in the spring. About a foot from the top the anti drop mechanism engages and I am unable to pull down without disengaging it. I’ll try replacing end caps and keep you all posted

I just got home and checked the wire. It’s not what’s listed on the website it’s: TC-ER. It doesn’t have the JP for joist pull, does it need that for inside the wall between 2 2x6s?

So instead of buying the cable referenced in that post, can I just pass it from outside the garage to inside the garage and then up the wall inside the garage? And if not the cable I found referenced in the post is 14/4c, I may run 16/4c because that was what was provided with the unit.
