    There are multiple choices. You can do a kit with no battery, 1 x 3Ah, 1 x 5Ah, 2 x 3Ah and 2 x 5Ah. I chose the single 3Ah kit.

New goodies! Puppy not included. :p by The Color Orange IR W7150 Impact. I'm a TIG welder by trade and any decrease in knuckle busting keeps my hands in good condition when working on vehicles. I've wanted an impact forever so I finally spent the coin. So far it's awesome! by The Color...

Thank you all for your kind words. I "practice" 40 hours a week at work which allows me to keep myself fresh in the process, and I love to do it. If this question was directed at me, I used 1/16" ER70S-6 that I purchased at my local welding supply store. Scott

Follow up from Post # 2838. Had a chance to spend some more time on the axle. Few pictures to share. I ran the roots with 6010 since the inside was so dirty. Followed that with a TIG hot pass. DSC_4405 by The Color Orange, on Flickr I took a break in-between passes so I could allow...

Lincoln Viking 3350 or Miller Digital Elite

Miller for sure. I've used both. Headgear on the miller is superior to the Lincoln in my opinion. I feel like both companies excel at specific products, and Miller has won out Lincoln when it comes to hoods. My .02

I won't be TIG welding the roots on the half cut side. The inside of the tube is covered in axle grease and dirt. I plan to root it with 6010, and either TIG or 7018 the rest. It's only the 200DX with a water cooler. About a week and a half after I received my 200DX they announced the 280...

I had a buddy contact me asking if I could help him narrow his Rockwell axle. I already did the front, and now he wants to do the rear. Building axles is something I want to do in the future, so I was really excited to take this project on. He did all the cutting beforehand and he simply...

    Dry/Cold Cut Metal Saws

I do realize this thread is almost a month old... However, I'll add some input on the Dewalt DW872. I was in the market for a cold cut saw/dry cut saw when I started my welding table build. I had a Milwaukee portaband and SWAG offroad base, but cutting 3" x 3" x .25" wall square tube was...

    welder choice

Thermal Arc might be more in your price range for a TIG/Stick welder. It's what I used in school and I thought they did well.

    Seiler's welding/fabrication table build.

In a few pictures it appears as though the welder is plugged into a 110V extension cord, which is actually the feed for my Coolmate 1. The machine itself is plugged into my dryer's 220V feed via a homemade extension cord. It's pretty new, not to mention it's my baby so I wipe it down after...

    Seiler's welding/fabrication table build.

I'm using lift-arc but I like to still have the amperage control with the pedal. I live in a condo/townhome building with other units and I don't want to send HF signals all over the place. I can't believe I didn't share my machine. Miller Dynasty 200DX. DSC_3701 by The Color Orange, on...
