    @Ryan, your Snappy box cleaned up beautifully. The color is remarkably close to the color of that silly looking German, air cooled, rear engined car (yes, I love 911s) in the near background. The brightwork on the corners is one of my favorite features on that Snappy box.

    Snap On Micrometer - Disassembly and repair

    The counting mechanism looks the same as the J.T. Slocomb SpeedMike. I repaired a couple of Mitutoyo "mechanical-digital" micrometers years ago. It was a pain in the *** and I never want to do it again. Unfortunately, I have no technical information to share. Good luck with your project.
