Ok I got the venting down, vented soffits, run pro-vents to the steeple, and install a ridge length vent. R38 insulation seems to be 12" thick! So should I run 2x8s along my 2x4 rafters so I can fit the insulation? Things probably just got pretty expensive :)

So, the question is, how do I do it right? Do I need to install some sort of venting system, or can I run the fiberglass insulation directly against the roof?
