Does anyone have a color photo of what the original color scheme was? Pic's would be helpful.
I've seen several restoration photos that look amazing - but all different color.
I don't know what original was, but I like a lighter metallic grey with black lettering and accents.
Thanks
Ross
I recently picked up an old (circa 1940 - 1944) Buffalo No. 15 bench top drill press and it has a Powr Kraft 1hp motor.
I'm trying to date the motor. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ross
On this model the entire head is meant to move up and down. The only modifications I am aware of are:
1. The addition of a belt/pulley cover.
2. The attachment for the post was originally a split casting that clamped the post. You could loosen the clamp and swing the post and head all at once...
Anyone know how to get the front pulley out of the upper bearing without damaging either?
There's no good way to support the head casting while pushing on the hub of the pulley inside the head. The bearings are all in great shape, but I'd like to get the pulley off to clean it up, and to more...
I clicked the icon at the top of the text box, selected my Pic and I could see it grayed out in the box... I hen it disappeared and I got a message that said, "Opps, we encountered a problem." Is the file too large or something? Or is there an issue since I'm a new member?
Hello All,
I've been lurking for a while but I need to join so that you all can keep me from destroying my new toy...I mean tool.
I picked up an old Buffalo No. 15 bench model drill press. It worked when I bought it, but it deserves some love. This unit has a very large/heavy base, no other...
