Original poster... Do you have a thread documenting the shop build? Yours sounds like what I am planning... 14 foot ceilings in one DEEP bay and 8 door ceilings with a lift over the other 2-3 bays.

NEC doesn't dictate this, but for the same reason as the previous poster, I install most receptacles with the ground pin UP.

Great heater by the way. My gas unit took a dump, so I picked up one of these. Worked GREAT!

I ran a 35k BTU modine copy in our 24x24 detached. Garage was well insulated other than the double width garage door (only had foam panels glued to it), and had no problem maintaining 70* all winter in northern Illinois. IMHO, 75k is wayyyy overkill.

This will be an excellent place to drop my first ever post here. :rocker: I just turned 30. Wife is 28. Bought our first house 7 years ago. Had a nice 2.5 - car garage already there with insulated walls. I insulated the roof, ran some nat. gas out there, and heated it. Spent quite a bit...
