    New ICON Tool Box

Oops, I don't post here often and the forums I frequent move very quckly. 3 weeks is damn near ancient! :p I also hope I don't run into any delivery or damage issues. Can't imagine if one part comes dented, then I'll have to wait another 2-3 months for a replacement. Now that I'm reading...

    New ICON Tool Box

A bit of an older thread, but I figure I'd chime in. Did a ton of research on the "bargain" brands like Icon, Extreme, Tool Vault, etc and ultimately decided on the Icon series. Went to the Anaheim, California store yesterday (one of their larger hub stores) to buy: - 73" roller kart - 73"...

    TV shelf ideas?

Honestly, I'd probably get rid of the tube and get a small flat screen for the garage if you want one there. The same sized 27" flat screen (a no name brand) will probably cost you less than $150 and look a lot better. With the holiday sales, I'm sure you can get one even a lot less than that.

Garage contruction - Attic build possible?

Okay, so it would be okay for a drop/suspended ceiling installation? I didn't want to drywall it because the trusses are 24" OC.

    Garage Stereo systems anyone?

How do you keep everything clean? My garage always gets so dusty. Maybe it's just because I'm in SoCal (in a new development that's still in it's build out stage). After a month, the top of my cabinets have a thick layer of dust. That's why I don't have a computer/electronics equipment in...

Garage contruction - Attic build possible?

Interesting, although I'm not sure this would be for flood water escape. The driveway slopes up quite steep until the garage. And if waters got to the level of the vent, it would already be 3-4 inches in the house. :P I'll probably dywall around the vent and make it look good.

Garage contruction - Attic build possible?

Wanted to bump this up. After some more research here and online, it appears that roof trusses aren't supposed to support any additional weight at all, and are meant to support the main roof structure. Drywalling may work, but may crack over time, etc. That being said....how about drop...

^^ Where would I obtain an epoxy based patch?

Garage contruction - Attic build possible?

I'm in the process of remodeling/setting up cabinetry in my gf's garage. Epoxying the floor is one part of it (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224315), so if any of you have any more advice in that thread, it would be greatly appreciated. As you can see the garage space is...

    Garage floor concrete repair suggestions

Thanks! I'm not sure about a pebble finish. Do you have pictures that you can share? I'm Googling it, but not sure I'm looking at the correct stuff. As for epoxy based fillers, is that something I can find at the local Home Depot? EDIT: Is this the stuff? I've seen this before.

    Garage floor concrete repair suggestions

Thanks guys. Just an FYI, I'm actually located in SoCal (I moved a little while ago but never changed my location) so the temps never get below 50 really. Can I just use that self leveling mix (from Rustoleum) or something from Home Depot, let it cure, and then expoy on top of that? Of course...

    Garage floor concrete repair suggestions

After showing my girlfriend's parents my garage setup, they decided they want to re-do their own garage. End goal is epoxy floor with cabinets to hide all the clutter. Possibly drywalling/re-drywalling some areas and painting. Of course, repairing the concrete is a must. I've done quite a...

Re-coating Epoxy that was just done. Will it work or not?

I just put the Rustoleum Premium Clear on mine. The directions say for the regular consumer grade (not Professional Series epoxy) you can put it on anytime after 5 days/full dry/cure. For the Pro series, you should do it between 24 hours and less than 5 days. Anyway, I'm very happy I did it...

    Rustoleum Epoxy Shield coating results

Well, hopefully with the clearcoat it will provide a tiny bit more protection. I live in Southern California (moved from my original location that still shows up) so it never really gets that hot or that cold. A few more pics for you guys: It was getting a little dark, so I apologize if...

    Rustoleum Epoxy Shield coating results

Hello all, I wanted to post pictures of the epoxy coat I put down this past Labor Day weekend. I had a full 3 days, which allowed time for coating/drying/etc. I originally wanted to get something in a dark grey and something more "professional" looking. Many of the nice ones are pretty thick...
