I just epoxied my garage floor. The etching did lighten the paint up, but did not remove all of it. Just to be safe, I would cover the floor.

Did your nailer double fire? With some framing nailers that don't have single shot mode, a double fire is common, and that can cause a good spark.

I've had a canopy from acecanopy over my waverunners for 4 years now. I should replace the canopy tarp this year. It has held up very well.
