Yep. After 4 visits to the optician to remove a sliver of metal that embeded itself in my eyeball and started to rust. I wear them for almost anything I'm doing in the shop.

So I found this at Lowes for $7! Its a non-fused AC dissconnect rated for 60amps, 2 phase for motors up to 10Hp. It has a handy on/off switch on it. Unless somebody knows of a good reason why this wouldn't work, I'm going to use it and feel pretty happy with myself knowing I saved a ton of...

No off switch. I'm using it just regular 220v, not 3 phase...

How and where do you guys dispose of the sludgy muck when you clean out your washer? I'd rather not dump it behind the shop.

What solvents do you guys use in your parts washer? Where do you get it from? More importantly, how and where do you dispose of it in a safe manner? I've been using simple green for a while and it just doesn't dissolve the thick grease like I want it too. This is a semi-production...
