I have hardwood flooring over top of 1/2" Ply for all my benches and its held up great. Can get short pieces and seconds/rejects cheap at a flooring place and can rent a stapler cheap.
Piece of a leather belt with some screws and cup washers, fire hose or a section of an old sling or ratchet strap with ends melted and holes melted through for screws.
I just use a sod cutter, rock it down all the way in and just back and forth to open up the slot left behind. Small Cables fall right in and you can close the slot back up with your foot. Fast easy and neat
You'll see people around here with tiny properties plowing theirs and their neighbors driveways with much bigger tractors than they need. Over 60 PTO Hp and an airconditioned cab is classed as a farm tractor and is untaxed.
I like to use 5/4" Treated Veranda Floor, the extra thickness allows for a little longer screws than 3/4" Ply and the board holds up better to moisture.
Our last run everything was a sheet of ice, I broke one scratcher and then 50k from the truck broke the other one. Took a long time to get out stopping every 2k to hand pack snow on the rear cooler to get the temp light to go away.
Wired my cap today, has 3 led strips. Two stuck above the side window frames and one on the glass of the hatch so it lights up the tailgate when the hatch is open. Has a three way switch which sets it to on-off-door, another switch turns two strips off to dim things down for reading or what not...
I don't know what Dewalt makes their cords from but it needs improving, we have a circ saw at work that was 3 weeks old when the strain relief cracked and broke and slid up the cord. Now a year later the actual cord is as bad as yours was. Its only been used inside too not out in the weather and...
This is awesome, I despise laying under even my little 8k pound skid steer to work on it when its on blocks. Can totally see the utility of having pit, also I'm super jealous of your Traverselift lol
