After 25 years of dealing with Snap and Mac Tools I don't ever remember getting any kind of a deal!

Gladiator wll cabinet at Sears Black Friday

I just bought some Gladiator wall cabinets at Sears for my garage. Normally sell at $239.00 on sale at $99.00. These are 30" by 30" and lockable. What a deal! They are also of a heavier gauge metal than the ones that Sears and Lowes sell at $149.00 (28" X 28") and they are premade (welded); you...

    2.5 car garage 672 sq ft A/C & heat

I've been busy finishing the garage and retiring...finally! I settled for two separate Goodman units in the garage. They work very well! We have had a low of 29 degrees recently and the garage stayed toasty! The trouble is the house heat pump died! Just replaced that with a n Airtemp unit.

    Garage wall cabinets

Thank you! Good call as I would have been a bit upset if I bought these and mounted them too close to each other! I am planning on mounting them in a row. Thanks all for the replys!

    Reccomend a floor jack?

My floor jack looks like The Hein Warner but it's a Walker . I bought it about 35 years ago. It's been rebuilt once. Mine is the same colors as the Hein Warner as shown. It's a two ton. My jack stands are 5 ton from the same company.

    Garage wall cabinets

I need wall cabinets to cover 168 inches of wall space in a new construction garage. I did a search but didn't come up with too much. Some of the guys have used other purpose (filing) cabinets and someone suggested those from Harbor Freight but stated they were of poor construction. I would like...

    Florida New Build

The garage is coming along. The wiring and insulation was installed and I put extra wiring in before the sheet rockers did their thing. I hard wired it for the alarm and fire alarms as I don't like having to replace batteries every one or two years. I also think it sends out an alarm to the...

    2.5 car garage 672 sq ft A/C & heat

I ended up going with two totatlly separate split units so there would be no air exchange between floors. There are two condensers outside the garage and each floor has it's own evaporator.

Here are a couple more pictures. The downstairs showing the stairs going to the second floor. The stairwell was designed by the architech to be closed off with a door on the end for storage. I asked the builder to close off the door and open up the stirwell void for a refrigerator and freezer...

    Florida New Build

I didn't originally plan for an A/C system but my Florida friends convinced me. I was a Chevy mechanic in CT for 25 years. For 15 of those years I worked in a greenhouse with only a fan at my back while working. It kept folks from watching me work! I'll admit that when the thermometer hit 100F...

Here are some more pictures of the build. Those trusses were put in place in about 20 minutes! Those verticle struts are only for stability until placed and are then removed. The second floor is fully open and I'll show pictures later. The hurricane strapping, required in Florida, is intense...
