    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT My Mini Garagemahal

Your compressor is in that shed right? A pneumatic can crusher would be great there. I got one a few months ago and love using it. Everyone else does too! I really like your entire project. The basement hangout/office/parts storage flowing into the garage is great!

    Escape FROM my dream shop

Subscribed! I was also born in Plainfield NJ, though 20 years after you Mac, and I bought a Walker Turner drill press for the same reason! I'm very jealous of your property size and looking forward to watching the construction progress!

Bullnerds 30 x40 pole building in NJ.

Another Upper Freehold guy checking in! Your shop looks like a reall great size. I'd like to put up a 24'x32' but not sure how my neighbors would feel about it. I don't have the funds yet either, but it's good to hear a positive review of a builder for when the time comes.

NewAge Performance Series vs Craftsman Cabinets

I have a red/black standing locker and 3 of the wall cabinets. I measured them right around ~22ga. For the money, I really like them, but would have definitely considered saber cabinets had I known about them at the time.

Tool chest review - Sears, Tractor Supply, Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight

I was looking at the Milwaukee last week and was not impressed. It's flat red, and a rough texture, so it will be hard to keep clean I think. The metal is on the thin side too, comparable to the Husky boxes of similar size. The slides seemed OK, but none of the drawers had doubled up slides. I'd...

Any thoughts on New Age "Performance" cabinets please

FWIW, I have the Craftsman Red/Black wall cabinets, which I believe are 22ga. For storing light weight things, the thickness is fine. I considered the New Age cabinets, but went with the Craftsman because of price and ease of purchase. I'll be purchasing a few locker cabients from Craftsman...

    Air Compressor System

I used an air brake line I got from a truck repair shop I happened to drive past on my way to Grainger. I had no clue the shop was there, just happened to see the sign while sitting at a red light! Works great, and I didn't have to spend the crazy money Grainger wanted. The air brake line has...

How do you clean a inside of a beer/ coke can?

If you've got the notching figured out already, why not notch the can and then sand the coating off? I'd think the opening would be big enough to get a finger in there with some sand paper or scotchbrite.

Running 240 for welder don't let me get shocked... Seriously though could you...

I've got a quick question for the electrial guys, I hope Chop doesn't mind... I wired my welder outlet the exact same way, except I put a 30amp twist lock outlet in. I use a male/female adapter into that for my generator, and a short extension with the 50amp plug for my welder. Is it a...

    need 3/8s air hose WITH 3/8s fittings/ends

I use the 1/4" Prevost high-flow safety release couplers on my two main hoses and Milton Type-V ******* and couplers everywhere else. Works great with no complaints on 3/8 lines. The Prevost and Type-V are both backwards compatible to Type-M (I think, available from home depot or lowes) which...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I would definitely consider them the same. I have a 4 1/2" Oswego and a 4" Sawyer, and the only difference other than size is the writing on the side. The 4 1/2" has a wrench on the swivel lock, instead of just a through bar, too. I'm a fan of the logo too!

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Oswego was the original, Sawyer bought them out a few years later, late 20's I think. They both have the T in the circle logo, which was the logo for the Oswego Tool Co. The one GETRIDAONE posted is a 3 1/2".

let's see your craftsman block grinders

Thanks for posting this one. I called on it that week and paid over the phone, and finally got to pick it up last weekend. I thought it was a good deal and included were 2 new grinding wheels, an additional wire wheel and 4 "horse hair" wheels. Any idea what the horse hair wheels are used...

Starting this Garage build with all 10 fingers...

I like the idea of lifting the 2 Lista's to match the Vidmar. Jack Olsen did that on his "island" to bring it up to match his other benches to have a consistent height on them all. He stores stock under there too, which is a great idea. I know you said you don't want a 44" height, but wasn't...
