    Vacuum coolant fill

Had to drain wife's '16 Outback to install a block heater. The manual doesn't mention vacuum filling and I'd never needed it on any of my old beaters. Drained almost 2 gallons but could only get 1/2 gallon back in. Almost overheated the engine using their procedure. I'd bought an OEMTools...

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

If you Google, "bathroom fan auto shut off", there's gobs of choices. I just went through that with my shop bathroom.

Introducing Pinless Universal Impact Extension Sockets That Deliver More Torque

I just bought those two weeks ago. The story of my life... lol

Feedback on Three Car Garage with Lift Layouts

Awesome news from the county for you! We have a sixteen foot max height here, but it's measured from the mid point of the rafter. Sounded weird to me, and I don't know if anyone else does it that way, but you might want to check?

Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you

Project Farm did a pretty good 9 month test with e10, e85, and non ethanol with and without stabilizers:

Feedback on Three Car Garage with Lift Layouts

Also, a four post with casters adds flexibility. One of mine started life on one end of the shop, and now it's on the opposite end, thanks to casters! In my 24x36 w/12' ceiling, I have two small cars, an SUV, a full-size pickup, 2 four post lifts, good sized sandblaster, parts washer, two...

Feedback on Three Car Garage with Lift Layouts

I'd add to everyone else's great suggestions, have your door(s) open outward and use a curtain for the bathroom to conserve space. If you put a deep sink on the shop side of the bathroom wall, and you don't have a door opening into it, you might gain a few square feet by shrinking the...

    Inexpensive 2 stage transmission jack

I have that jack and it has worked well. My only complaint is no foot lever to lower it. You twist a rod that's only a couple feet off the ground. Makes for some interesting situations when working alone.

    4 post lift for 2000 F350 DRW

On my fp9k-dx-xlt, the drive thru distance is 99", but that is the distance between the inside edge of the column footings. The distance between the inside edge of the columns is 111.5", and what I use for sizing. Two other specs that might be of interest are the distance between the insides of...

    Ground Rod Pounder-SDS Hammer

The soil here is sandy river bed full of tennis ball sized rocks. I've installed 8 ground rods around my place over the last few years using this guy's second method. It worked great and it's free! YMMV.

    Manometer to monitor filter condition

Also, if your blower is multi/ variable speed, that's going to affect dP as well.

    Show your new tool arrivals

That one amp unit does a good job of bringing car batteries back from the dead also. I had a 7 year old battery in my truck that sat over the winter for three months in my front yard that was pronounced dead by my battery tester. 3 days on that NOCO brought it back! There's also several reviews...

    The Electronics Soldering Thread

I don't know about tiny SMD component soldering, but this headset really helps my 62yo eyes with many detail tasks, including soldering. Wearing my 1.5x cheaters with the 2 2x lenses down, I can read the numbers off of. 85mmx2.0mm SMD resistors very clearly from about 3" away. I'd probably...

    Can you name this resistor?

With a component in that shape, finding it's resistance is futile.
