    Snap-on GREEN File Set HS500G

Lightly used HS500G File Set. Includes case and 2 extra handles. Defects: both of the extra handles has engraved initials, as shown, and two of the handles have different sized files installed and so are too long to fit in case I would rate the other handles 8.5 to 9 out of 10. Asking $225...

    Yost 750-DI Vise Recommendation

I've had the 750 DI for 2.5 years. Beat on it, bent steel plate and torqued on it. No problems so far. I would buy another just for the adjustability. Recommend one, especially for the price.

Pressmaster Mobile Crimp Tool + Dies (Wiha 43190)

Can anyone tell me if one can use the 4300-3242 Weather Pack die for Deutsch open barrel terminals? Or is there another die for the Pressmaster frame that would work better? Also see a separate die set listed above for Metri Pack, but assumed the Weather Pack die could also be used for these...

Help me pick a floor jack.

HF yellow 3 ton. The Snap-on clone. I use it daily on lifted 4x4's and it hasn't let me down in 10 months. It's the perfect size and lift range for general work on cars and trucks. If it broke I would buy another one. Unless the Snap-on came down in price.

    tape measure's

Definitely Lufkin for metric. Anything for imperial - Stanley tapes with the hi-viz background are nice. Fat max are for framers. GL

    ir thermometer?

The good ones use a reflectivity coefficient you enter based on the density of material being measured. Can make upwards of a 25% difference in temp reading (i.e. steel manifold or rubber coolant hose). None of the ones above fall into the "accurate" category. Snap-on are accurate and come with...

    Princess Auto deals

Brake Cleaner goes on sale Tuesday, at least in Alberta. I thinks it's $3.00 savings per can. Good time to load up.

    Do not buy...

Not so fast! Guess you haven't used your 12" Pliers Wrench in any higher torque applications (i.e. TRE's). They ****.... big time. The handles spread as you apply more torque - no matter what tool orientation. Useless. Got rid of ALL my pliers wrenches, except for the 6" which is handy as hell...

Locking vs. Non-Locking Flex Head Rathets

I prefer locking for universal sockets or you're in a position where you can't reach the ratchet head and need to pre-set the angle and reach in (ex. suspension/injectors/crowsfeet). I've found it to be a necessity quite a few times. A combination of locking and roto heads cover 100% of my use...

Metrinch 12 point universal SAE/Metric sockets

I have a set of the 1/4" 6-point style in my truck and use the **** out of them. Not gimmicky at all. If you're limited in space or weight (i.e. wheeling rig / moto / backpack) I would recommend them as you always have metric & sae on a modded 4x4. Never rounded a fastener. Even worked ok taking...

    Metrinch

1/4" drive socket set in my mini tool kit has never let me down. Which it went to 14, instead of 13 though.

Slip joint pliers vs water pump pliers(knipex)

Both! Now if Knipex made Cobra's that had jaws parallel with the handles then I could get rid of my slip-joints.
