    Partial solution is paint the ceiling of the problem area Sky Blue. Oldtimers do it to porches etc. Discourages wasps from building nests there. Works for my house/garage. Like this

    Garage was least attractive part of house. Regular size two car garage but had ducting and wiring for built-in BBQ grill in custom cabinetry with exhaust duct through concrete foundation. I used it as reloading room.
