$30 for a set of swivel impact sockets, that is throw away prices. Does the container that they came in say lifetime warranty? If not then you have no case and Northern Tool was being generous and giving you a 90 day warranty.

The Atlas air compressors are built by Puma, I confirmed by calling the Georgia branch. I would buy without any worries, as the 18 cfm@ 90 model is the one I have owned for 2 years and no problems.

I know that other brand switches will work(I deal with this almost daily), but it is harder to explain how to do this via internet or telephone. The simplest way for him to do this is to buy a direct replacement.

Square D does not make a compatible switch to replace the Condor. If you look at the black line underneath the switch tou will see why. He said one of the contacts fell and he repaired it. If I lived near him I would do the trouble shooting for him.

No more than $45, Master Tool Repair sales them for that. So it should be cheaper without the middle man if they do direct sales.

Ok then it is probably in the switch, when replacing it be very careful with the black line. grap the copper sticking out of the elbow under the switch and pull it tiwards the elbow and it will release the line to remove it. Replace with a swith just like it, I believe it is a Condor brand.

After looking at the pictures closely, I see the damage to that pressure switch. The reset is on the end of the motor to the left of the pressure switch.

Tank does not have any pressure in it does it? Wire it straight into the pressure switch and see if that helps.

From what I have seen from them they are a decent entry level compressor. They are no better or no worse than what you can get at any of the box stores. The most common problem with air compressors is buying too small of a compressor, causing it to run longer and putting undo stress on the unit.

$250 is a real good buy on a newer unit. Just keep an eye on the oil, if it starts to look milky change it. Also use a good quality oil and it should last.

A 15 amp 110v is roughly 1.9/2.0 hp where as a 15 amp 220v will be 3 hp. if the same pump is used on the 110v as the 220v, you will see more cfm out of the compressor. Iknow Devilbiss(porter cable, craftsman) did this years ago.
