Does anyone know where to get a quill for this machine? Someone told me that a Dayton drill press has the same quill…? Any thoughts?

Well....maybe, but there are no threads on the shaft. The 3 footed piece at the bottom, which must have mounted somewhere because of the bolt holes, would get in the way of much downward progress. The middle piece has those flat pieces on them with short slots that something else would attach to.

I found this object(can't classify as a tool yet) in a ravine behind a farm. They we famous for throwing old stuff there to slow down erosion. It's cast iron. Had a wooden handle(long gone), has 3 feet on the bottom for mounting somewhere. The arm with handle and ball(which is hollow) slides up...

I have a 15" Boice-Crane supRtorque bench top press. It must be just slightly older than yours since Wilton bought out Boice in the '60's. Mine needs a quill and is hard to find. Bought at auction for $50 in 1986. Thought was great until I found it had no quill. Now I'm stuck. Contacted...
